What you'll do

Our guide will meet you at the port of Liverpool where we board an air-conditioned coach to take a guided tour of Liverpool.

Located in North West England, Liverpool was founded as a fishing village in 1207 and had that status until 1880, before becoming the second most important of the Empire. In the 18th century, trade with the West Indies and with Continental Europe promoted the economic expansion of the city; At the beginning of the 19th century, 40% of the world's maritime trade passed through the docks of Liverpool, and is currently the second largest port of the United Kingdom in terms of volume of exports.

Inhabitants and merchants were able to invest the wealth generated by the port and over time have created the most beautiful city on the outskirts of London.

Nowadays it impresses by its famous buildings of great architectural importance.

In 2004, several areas along the city center were declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco, including the Pier Head, Albert Dock, Liverpool Town Hall and St. George's Hall, one of the emblems of the city's architectural heritage.

We will visit the two cathedrals (optional visit), the Anglican, of neo-Gothic style, is the fifth highest cathedral in the world; The Catholic Cathedral is singular by its circular plant instead of the traditional one in form of cross.

The popularity of The Beatles and Liverpool Football Club helped Liverpool become a tourist destination.

Return to the port of Liverpool so you can rejoin your ship for onward passage to your next port of call.
