Panoramic of Guernsey

Shore excursion from port of Saint Peter Port, United Kingdom

  • Duration 3h
  • Activity level medium

What you'll do

Pick up at the port by our guide with a Shore2Shore sign.

The tour will begin at the Liberation Monument in the heart of Saint Peter's Port, where we will take a picturesque tour of the town and stop to admire the views of the neighboring islands in Havelet Bay.

Next, we will have the opportunity to explore the Little Chapel. Originally built in 1914, the chapel is known to be one of the smallest in the world and is beautifully decorated with broken earthenware, shells and pebbles. The small chapel was built as an act of devotion; the design is based on the grotto of the Virgin of Lourdes and is decorated in mosaic form with shells and fragments donated by Wedgewood and Royal Doulton China. The Little Chapel is featured in the book "The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society", on which the recent film of the same name is based.

Next, we will head to Pleinmont Point, where we will make a photo stop to take in breathtaking views of the south coast and visit the restored German gun battery.

We will then stop for a drink or rest at Bruce Russell.

Back on board the coach, our driver will take us along the west coast to enjoy magnificent views of some of Guernsey's favorite beaches, such as Grandes Roques and Pembroke Bay.

The tour will come to an end, finishing back in St Peter Port.
