Panoramic views of Palma and Valldemossa
Shore excursion from port of Palma de Mallorca, Spain
- Duration 4h
- Activity level low
What you'll do
Our guide will meet you at the port of Palma de mallorca with a SHOREXC sign.
Departure by bus to the Bellver Castle, where we will make a photo stop to contemplate the impressive views that give its name to this place. The name Bellver comes from the old Catalan bell veure or pretty vista.
We will continue with the bus to the Escollera, to visit the Cathedral of Palma, the most emblematic historical monument of the city. Our guide will give us explanations outside and each passenger will have the possibility to enter on his own to admire the works carried out by Antonio Gaudí from 1904 to 1914 and to take pictures and videos.
Those who do not wish to enter, will have approximately 30 minutes of free time. At the end of the visit of the cathedral we will return to the bus to go to Valldemossa, located about 17 kms from Palma.
Valldemossa is a very charismatic town, known for its most visited monument, the Carthusian monastery of Nazareth (external visit), which is very famous thanks to the stay of a very famous couple of the time: Frederico Chopin and Georges Sand. We will have free time in Valldemossa to taste the specialty (not included in the price): LA COCA DE PATATAS or do some shopping.
Finally we return to the Port of Mallorca so you can re-join your ship for onward passage to your next port of call.
