What you'll do
Our Shorexc guide will meet you at the Port of Portimao where we board an air conditioned coach to take a guided tour for group of Lagos and Sagres.
First we head off to Lagos, a city which has great ties to the great Portuguese age of discoveries. You can enjoy the local museum which has an eclectic mix of archaeological finds from many centuries from dinosaur teeth to roman mosaics to Moorish oil lamps.
It is next to the Golden Chapel of San Antonio, the church has a very plain façade but the richly decorated interior is an extravaganza of gold and beautiful wood carvings. This is also the site of the old slave market and the statue of Prince Henry the Navigator.
Finally, we go to Ponta da Piedade and take in the maginificent views of the bay, Sagres and its port, a typical fishing village and the views over to Cape San Vicente.
We will then return to the Port of Portimao so you can re-join your ship for onward passage to your next port of call.
