- Duration 6h
- Activity level medium
What you'll do
Join us for a private guided tour along the most spectacular scenery in Norway.
Our guide will meet you at the Port of Gravdal with a Shorexc sign.
This route is of a great beauty and our guide will tell us a lot about the fishing villages as well as the history and legends of the Lofoten Islands. There is much history between these rugged mountains, plus a modern and lively industry.
We will first head to Flakstad Municipality, consisting of Flakstad Island and the northern tip of the island of Moskenes. Our bus will pass by the E10, officially called Way of King Olav V and passes through Flakstad on its way to Å. We will discover white sand beaches and arctic peaks.
We will arrive at Flakstad and visit the church, built in 1780. The municipality of Moskenes covers the southern part of the island of Moskenes, where the landscape has been sculpted by glaciers and other natural forces that have become one of the wildest places and more fascinating of Norway.
In Moskenes, we will discover the beauty of some fishing villages like Hamnøy, Sakrisøy, Reine, Sørvågen and Å, to name a few. At the mouth of Reinefjorden is the fishing village of Reine, among the majestic peaks of Lofoten and the Arctic Ocean. Reine was voted "the most picturesque village in Norway". We will stop for snacks or a light lunch (not included) or a cup of coffee in cafes or local restaurants.
The Vestvågøy Municipality consists of the island, located in the center of the Lofoten Islands. Vestvågøy is one of the most important fishing town of Norway and the second largest in northern Norway for agriculture.
Leknes is the center of administration and trade, while Stamsund is one of the largest fishing villages in Lofoten.
From Stamsund we will head to the picturesque Steine road on our way to Sennesvik and the Einangen viewpoint, overlooking the Buksnesfjord.
From here, we will see our ship from above.
Return to the port.
