Funicular to Mount Floyen and walking tour of Bergen

During our tour we will see the old part then modern part of the city of Bergen. Discover the most interesting sites as the ancient wooden town, its streets and alleys, the Fortress, the Holy Mary Church (Mariakirken) and the Fishermen's Market.

Upon arrival of your cruise pick up at the port by our guide, identified with the SHORE2SHORE sign.

There is no better way to discover a city than by walking through its streets. During this walk we will visit the most emblematic parts of the city center. The capital of the Norwegian fjords always has something to offer us, a place full of history and tradition that combines an international city with the charm of a village of wooden houses.

On our tour we will pass through Bergenhus (former fortress of the Norwegian kings), the church of Santa Maria, the fish market and various points of interest that will allow us to learn more about the culture of Bergen. The visit will lead us through the alleys of Bryggen, a former Hanseatic neighborhood proclaimed a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The old neighborhood on the quay embodies the importance of the Hanseatic League in the city, being the only Hanseatic commercial office preserved outside Germany.

We will continue our walk through Torgallmeningen, the main street that is pedestrian. From this point our tour will go through two Bergen landmarks; the theater, one of the main buildings and place of the resurgence of the Norwegian language And Festplassen, the city's main square.

We will end our visit with an optional tasting of typical products in the fish market.

Our tour will continue, always accompanied by the guide, with the Funicular of Mount Floyen, a mountain of 325 meters above sea level from where we will have a beautiful and classic view over the city, here we will have free time to admire the splendid landscape.
