We continue through the attractive neighborhood of “Borgo Teresiano”, a famous neighborhood built by the Austrian Emperor Carlo V and we will also walk along the Canal Grande.
Our tour continues through the narrow streets of Trieste, where we can admire the Roman Theater (exterior visit), built between the 1st and 2nd century AD; Plaza de la Bolsa, the economic center of the city surrounded by numerous Liberty-style buildings.
You cannot miss a special stop at Piazza Verdi, with its famous and elegant Giuseppe Verdi Lyric Theater, dedicated to the magnificent Italian composer Giuseppe Verdi. Stop for a moment to admire the theater’s architecture and decorations. It has an impressive facade decorated with gabled windows, pilasters and capitals.
The next stop is at “Piazza Unità d’Italia”, the most important in the city. Italia Unity Square is the heart of Trieste and is surrounded by Austro-Hungarian architecture and grand buildings.
During the walk, you will also be able to admire the Greek Orthodox Church "San Nicolo dei Greci" (exterior visit) and the Serbian Orthodox Church "San Spridione" (exterior visit).
