What you'll do
Our Shorexc Excursions guide will meet you to arrival your cruise at the port where we board an air-conditioned coach to take a guided tour to Pisa and then Florence.
Depart from the pier by coach and after approximately 45 minutes drive, you will reach Pisa.
Free time will be given to reach Piazza dei Miracoli (15 minutes walk from the parking place), enjoy the view of the Leaning Tower, Cathedral and Baptistery.
Board your bus again and drive towards Florence.
Discover the city of the Medici family thanks to a guided tour from Piazza Santa Maria Novella to the magnificent complex of the Cathedral of Santa Maria dei Fiori with its impressive dome, the Baptistery (outside), and the Giotto bell tower (outside). Continue your walk down various streets to the Piazza della Signoria, to see the Gothic Old Palace with its ornate courtyard and artistic treasures. The Loggia dei Lanzi is an open-air museum displaying masterpieces of sculptures!
You will also see the Ponte Vecchio, the only bridge in Florence to survive the WWII bombings, and you will arrive at S. Croce Square to admire the wonderful Santa Croce Church (outside, burial place of Michelangelo).
Some free time will be given for lunch and for individual visits or shopping.
Later walk back to the coach.
We will then return to the port so you can re-join your ship for onward passage to your next port of call.
