Shore excursion from port of Cobh, Ireland
- Duration 5h
- Activity level low
What you'll do
Our guide will meet you at the port of Cobh where we board an air-conditioned coach to take a guided tour of Cork.
Cork, European Capital of Culture in 2005 and second most populous city of South Ireland, is located in the south coastal area and borders the Lee River which divides into two canals, creating an island in the city center. The architecture and customs of Cork (culture, gastronomy ...) differ from the rest of the country.
During our tour, we will stop at the St. Finbar Cathedral to admire its splendid facade. We will also go to the university campus with its lush gardens and iconic square, surrounded by buildings of the 19th century.
Free time for lunch. During this time, stroll through the busy streets of Oliver Plunkett St. And the Huguenots district, or discover the English market. If you still have energy, join Shandon Ward to take a close look at the clock known as the «four-sided liar » or browse the walls of the 17th century Elizabeth Fortress.
Return to the port of Cobh so you can rejoin your ship for onward passage to your next port of call.
