What you'll do
Welcome to the WESTFJORDS, the fjords of the West.
Pick up at the port by our guide in the disembarking area with a SHOREXC sign. Isafjardardjup offers many interesting options for a relaxing and memorable day in the fiords of West Iceland.
We will live the history of this charming little town in a unique way listening to tales and stories of trolls, elves and ghosts from our English speaking guide.
The small town of Isafjardardjup, known for its cultural and artistic diversity, is unique in Iceland.
Its unusually well-preserved center dates back to the 19th century and still reflects its charming history that lives in many local legends and stories.
We will walk out of the port of Isafjardardjup, accompanied by our guide, to take a walk through the city and the slopes above Isafjardardjup.
On our way there, we will visit interesting places learning information about the city, its history and culture, listening to people's stories, their living conditions, their common beliefs and culture. Our guide will tell us all kinds of anecdotes about the ghosts of the town and we will feel a fascination for the mystical creatures that we will hear about.
We will enjoy the wonderful views of the fjord and the surrounding landscape.
After the walk, we can enjoy a typical snack in one of the local cafes, organize an ATV activity with a local provider (it can be organized in advance, please contact us for more information) or return to the boat to enjoy the rest the day of the wonderful services on board.
Once tour is finished, return to port and farewell.
