What you'll do
Our guide will meet you at the port.
Discover the magnificent city of Marseille, starting with a visit to the Palais Longchamp (18th century) and its majestic fountain.
We will make a stop at Vallon des Auffes, passing by La Corniche, promenade bordering the city of Marseille along the coast, from the area of the Catalan beach to the small port of Vallon des Auffes. It is a very pleasant walk from the center of Marseille.
From there, you can admire the view of the Frioul archipelago and the Chateau d'If.
We will then stop at the Notre Dame de la Garde Basilica, an essential monument of the 19th century, much appreciated by the inhabitants of Marseille, which offers, from the highest peak of the hill, an exceptional panoramic view of the "Cité Phocéenne".
Continuation to the Abbey St Victor (5th century) which offers a magnificent view of the Fortresses of Saint Jean and Saint Nicolas which protect the entrance to the Old Port, the oldest in the Mediterranean.
To end our visit to Marseille, we will go to the Old Port, heart of the city, to admire its modern renovation, carried out by the architect Norman Foster and its pavilion, L’Ombrerie.
