What you'll do

Our Shorexc guide will meet you at the Port of Helsinki where we board an air-conditioned coach to take a guided shore tour of Helsinki.

We will go to the historic center for a panoramic pedestrian tour through the city showing the masterpieces of the modern architecture of Helsinki that we relate below:

Sibelius Park: A monument to Sibelius, famous Finnish composer of symphonic music of the last century.

Olympic Stadium: it was built for the 1952 Olympic Games.

Tour of the main street of the city, Mannerheimintie, where you will find some of the most important buildings, such as the Opera House, the National Museum and the Kiasma, Museum of Modern Art.

Railway Station: this building stands out for its architectural design.

Tour of Esplanade: Elegant boulevard where exclusive stores are located and which has a beautiful park in the center. This park is a very popular area where live concerts are held and we can find many street musicians.

At the end of the street are the Market Square and the port: this area, very lively, is all dominated by the Orthodox Cathedral of Uspenski, whose main features are the thirteen domes and the red bricks of its structure. It is the largest Orthodox cathedral in Western Europe, a magnificent and impressive example of the architecture of Slavic tradition.

Visit to the Senate Square.

Exterior visit of the Lutheran Cathedral: spectacular building, crowned by the great green dome that is the symbol of the city.

At the end of the walk we will visit the Old Market in the open air where we can buy typical Finnish food.

We will then return to the Port of Helsinki so you can re-join your ship for onward passage to your next port of call.
