What you'll do

Our guide will meet you at the port of Manama.

The Kingdom of Bahrain, whose name means "Kingdom of the two seas", is an archipelago of about thirty islands, located in the Persian Gulf. It shares maritime borders with the east coast of Saudi Arabia and with the cove formed by the peninsula of Qatar. It has an area of 727 square kilometers and a population of 1,039,000 inhabitants: 60% are Bahrainis and the rest are foreigners, mostly Asian workers. The capital is Manama, located on the largest island, which gives its name to the country.

In our excursion today we will see the following monuments (entrance included):

The Great Al-Fateh Mosque is one of the largest mosques in the world. It has capacity for more than 7 000 people, was built in 1987 and named after the Bahraini conqueror, Ahmed Al Fateh.

The great dome of the mosque is built entirely of fiberglass, weighs 60 tons and is the largest fiberglass dome in the world.

We will see the National Museum of Bahrain, the largest and oldest in the country with its rich collection of archaeological pieces, covering 6,000 years of its history.

During our tour we will also make a photo stop at the Bahrain World Trade Center, two twin towers 240 meters high (50 plants) each.

From there to the Muharram Souk, an old and very cozy souk with a wide range of goods and preserves. We recommend you to try their sweet star, the Halwa.

We will also enjoy a panoramic view of King Fahad Causeway, a combined bridge and viaduct that connects Saudi Arabia with Bahrain. Its construction began in 1981 and was completed in 1986.
