Our guide will meet you at the port of Dubrovnik.
He will lead us to the Pile Gate and we will reach "Stradun" - the most famous street in Dubrovnik.
Our trip will take us along the Old Town to visit the main monuments, such as the Dominican Monastery with its collection of Renaissance paintings.
We will also visit the Cathedral, built on the ruins of the previous one: first built in the 12th century and destroyed by an earthquake in 1667. Among its treasures we find one of the finest collections of gold and silver relics in Europe.
We will also visit other monuments during our walk: the Sponza Palace, the Church of St Blas, the Fountain of Onofriou and the Rector's Palace (XV century), former residence of the Government and Rector during the Independent Republic of Dubrovnik.
After the guided tour, we will have free time to explore the Old Town.
Our excursion will continue along the road to enjoy a panoramic view of Dubrovnik and its coastline.
Then we will go to about 20 kilometers to the south of Cavtat, to the old Epidaurum of the Adriatic; Civitas Vetus - the ancestor of Dubrovnik. Cavtat is a medieval town built in harmony with the slopes and with two bays easily accessible. In the immediate vicinity of Dubrovnik, wrapped in a mild Mediterranean climate and with its lush vegetation, Cavtat has become the tourist and cultural destination of Konavle.
Return to the port so you can rejoin your ship for onward passage to your next port of call.
