Funicular Mount Floien :
Our guide Shore2Shore will meet you at the port of Bergen.
During our tour we will see the old part then modern part of the city of Bergen. Discover the most interesting sites as the ancient wooden town, its streets and alleys, the Fortress, the Holy Mary Church (Mariakirken) and the Fishermen's Market.
Our visit will begin along the Bryggen wharf, which reminds us the importance of Bergen in the commercial empire of the Hanseatic League from the 14th to the mid 16th century. Buildings and streets still reflect people's life in the Middle Ages and are classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Many fires have repeatedly damaged the wooden houses of Bryggen. The reconstructions were carried out according to the original models and the traditional methods in order to preserve the original aspect of the site. Bryggen is today a hive of dynamic workshops, where painters, weavers and craftsmen produce fine and original elements.
A walk in Bergen is the ideal way to enjoy the atmosphere of the city. The city center is compact and full of attractions. We will climb (optional) the funicular to Mount Floien to discover the beauties of the city and its surroundings.
Free time before returning to the ship.
Bon voyage !!
Funicular not guaranteed if large queue.
Guests who do not take the funicular to Mount Floien will have a free time of 1 hour.
